Engineering hope during the pandemic

The president and co-founder of Limbitless Solutions at the University of Central Florida, Albert Manero, says,

“I want to push the limits of design, engineering, and art to make people say ‘wow,’”

Six years ago, this organization is created by a group of students. They aim to create personalized, expressive 3D-printed bionic arms and harms for deserving children, without any cost. Their discovery leads the team to introduce new opportunities and uses modern technology to fight against COVID-19.

They collaborated with other organizations to create a printed ventilator and this contribution brings a significant change in the history of medical science. Albert says in the interview,

“The ventilators were designed by our partners at Oregon Health and Science University, they emailed our files and we worked with them to optimize manufacturing and to produce the test pieces.”

At the university campuses, the engineering and arts students are working together to achieve more and provide a greater and better future for the deserving ones. Their unique skill sets with their hard work are making it possible to create beautiful and fully functional bionic limbs.

The team at Limbitless is solving the real-time and real-life problems for several children. They are optimistic and believe in a better future.
