WNDB – an organization of children’s book
In the previous blog, we come to know that how various teachers, organizations, and The City of Salisbury’s Secretary of Kindness are helping to collect diverse books for the children.
Many people also want to increase this collection but they don’t know how to get started. These people can support the organization of children’s books.
We Need Diverse Books™ is a 501(c)(3) non-profit and a grassroots organization of children’s book lovers that advocates essential changes in the publishing industry. Their aim to help produce and promote literature that reflects and honors the lives of all young people.
WNDB strives to create a world in which all children can see themselves in the pages of a book. Their mission is to put more books featuring diverse characters into the hands of all children.
To reach this goal, they have created programs to celebrate diverse books, to mentor diverse writers and illustrators, to support diverse publishing professionals, and to provide books to classrooms nationwide.
