Try to serve during the pandemic
During these challenging times of pandemic, there are still many bits of hope. The pandemic affects every single person but there are lots of people that are trying to do something good in this hard situation.
We find several inspiring stories of various people who are doing good things. Many people are helping others in their profession. People are doing what they can do best.
The pandemic has also put teachers and parents in a difficult situation but some teachers are trying to handle this situation.
Several teachers are doing their best to support the Continuation of teaching. Teachers should create an inclusive environment where students can learn alongside their peers.
Teachers are using digital tools to collaborate with students. They are taking a half-year leave from teaching and use this time to share their knowledge with other teachers around the state and country.
“A good teacher is a fortune for students”
Amy is also a unique teacher who is teaching special education at Helen Baller Elementary School in Camas, a small town just across the state border from Portland. All of her students have severe disabilities, so she has to come up with creative ways to draw them into their schoolwork.
She used to customize learning efficiently. One of her students is completely non-verbal, visually impaired, and can’t move his arms or legs. Amy identified something that they could do. She also works with the general population students to help them understand their differently-abled peers.
She is working with other educators and state officials to develop guidelines for the fall and help each district come up with a plan that makes sense for the community. She also helped create guidance for special education to make sure students with disabilities aren’t left behind.
To safely navigate the schools, we need good and responsible people like Amy Campbell who does their duties efficiently.
