Winter Around the Corner – Help Homeless, Kids & Families in Need with Blankets, Showers, Meals
Today is October 9th, 2020. Most of us have already turned on the heat in our homes as winter is just getting started. Unfortunately millions of homeless and families are scared and helpless of upcoming weather where each day will keep getting brutal as winter approaches. Covid-19 is going to make the situation a lot worse and thousands of homeless, families and kids will require help. Make this winter a winter to remember for yourself and feel good by doing these actions. Here are some tips we can do to help:
a) Buy blankets from discount stores and just drop off to these people directly. Please watch videos to see some examples:
b) Buy blankets and food and give to your local religious centers, YMCA, town offices, and other similar community centers. Initiate blanket and food drive at these centers yourself while you still can.
Please share this story so as many people as possible can do this. There are going to be a lot more homeless and people who need this help so let’s do our part by being part of the solution.
c) Arrange warm showers at community centers, religious places, YMCA, Town Offices
Donate to local places and initiate a day or even few hours each week for the homeless people to take warm showers at these centers. You be the admin for this effort and ensure everything goes smoothly. Giving the luxury of a warm shower to the homeless, kids, and families during this tough winter may be the greatest joy of your life.
If possible, also arrange hair cut, blanket & food for these less fortunate friends. Also arrange community job counseling as shown below:
d) Arrange a job fair for the homeless. Give them your old suits or buy them new suits to get them ready for the interviews. Please see below.
