Geotourism Development Foundation is an independent, non-profit organization, registered in Washington, DC. They work with local partners in any given destination to help fund and build sustainable tourism projects, creating an infrastructure that enables travelers to visit and build up the economy.
They aim to enhance the positive impacts by creating partnerships between the tour industry and local social entrepreneurs, and by funding projects which enhance the distinctive aspects of a place to the benefit of residents and visiting travelers.
