Doctors are doing their duties thoroughly even during the COVID
COVID- 19 hit the world in the year 2020 and the infected people ran towards hospitals to get a cure form this chronic virus. The hospitals would start to become overwhelmed with a large number of patients in the early days of the virus.
At this point, fewer patients sound like good news. But Dr. Costello and her team were worried about their young patients’ vaccinations.
Dr. Costello has increased concern about outbreaks of measles, whooping cough, polio, even chickenpox—all of which could be far more dangerous for a child’s health than Covid-19.
That vaccine is very important for the safety of children and the community. Bur the problem was that children could not come to the hospital during a pandemic. That’s why the doctors decided to bring the hospital to them by developing a mobile unit that could take vaccinations into neighborhoods.
The hit upon a plan to outfit RV as a mobile exam room that can drives around to places like school parking lots. They talk to a local ambulance company about this and the company donated them a driver and the use of an ambulance, which they modified for examinations.
With their hard work and efforts, the team established complex routes by zip code successfully and assembled crews so patients could see their very own doctors.
Since the teams have hit the road in April, they’ve seen more than 500 infants, toddlers, and young children—the population who needed to be vaccinated.
This program has delivered on its intended goal and Donations have also enabled the team to expand the program’s scope. Through Project Reach, the visiting medical team can also inquire about the family’s other needs.
