Golden Valley Play Equipment Installed Thanks To One Good Deed

Cool Story - Golden Valley Play Equipment Installed Thanks To One Good Deed

There are many different ways to be kind. At Brookview Park in Golden Valley, a community service project on September 8 was built on the principles of sweat equity combined with a little construction knowledge.

It was a project that called for the construction and setup of a brand-new playground apparatus.

Executive director of One Good Deed Michelle Christensen stated, "It's just a wonderful, natural addition and a great use of space."

Hundreds of volunteers work for the nonprofit organization One Good Deed, which is situated in Golden Valley.

Sam Dalquist, a volunteer from Crystal, said, "It just gives you pride in your community, and it's going to be a place that I bring my son." And it's kind of cool that I played a small but meaningful role in its creation.

The volunteers do the task out of a pure desire to help others, whether it is by tightening bolts or spreading mulch.

We perform one nice deed per month, according to Christensen. "This is the good deed for September. There are big and little good deeds.

PLAYGROUND ACCESSORIES FOR KIDS AGE 2–12

The installation of the playground equipment on Friday would be considered one of the bigger "good deeds." Fourplay pods were constructed by Christensen in collaboration with the city of Golden Valley, Design Tree Engineering, and the adjacent Lions Park.

Total in total, Golden Valley will receive a gift of $75,000 that was entirely funded by grants and donations.

Families will be able to appreciate this particular deed of compassion for many years to come.

The volunteer, Dalquist, stated, "It feels good. It isn't laborious, in my opinion.

The project took the volunteers four hours to complete. On October 10 at 5:30 p.m., there will be a formal dedication ceremony.
