A 12-year-old child named Benjamin Mehanovic is selling tea in Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia-Herzegovina, to raise money for the earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria.
He raised money for the victims of the early-Monday earthquakes that slammed southeastern Turkey and northern Syria by selling tea from a modest stall in the streets of the capital's Dobrija neighborhood.
He responded, "When I saw the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria on television," when asked where the idea for the tea business originated.
"I then got the bright notion to erect a tea stand. I also asked my friends to join me, and I suggested giving the money we raised to Pomozi. ba, a neighborhood aid organization, or using it to purchase the essential baby supplies," told the eighth grader Mehanovic to Anadolu.
He claimed that since beginning his relief drive on Sunday, "I have collected 100 euros so far." "I used the money I raised on the first day to purchase baby goods, and on the second day, I gave to Pomozi. ba," he continued.
Mehanovic expressed his sympathy for the earthquake-affected children and infants, adding, "Some individuals didn't want to drink the tea, they simply wanted to help."
Two extremely large earthquakes shook southern Turkey on February 6.
The magnitude 7.6 and 7.7 earthquakes, which were centered in Kahramanmaras, also shook Hatay, Gaziantep, Adiyaman, Malatya, Adana, Diyarbakir, Kilis, Osmaniye, and Sanliurfa.
Additionally, they impacted several nations and wreaked havoc in northern Syria.
According to the most recent official statistics, Turkey lost close to 32,000 individuals, while Syria lost over 3,600.
