M’sian Shares Story of Helping a Stranded Elderly Auntie by Giving Her a Ride

Cool Story - M’sian Shares Story of Helping a Stranded Elderly Auntie by Giving Her a Ride

A Malaysian recently shared on Facebook how this holiday was made even more special as he and his companions helped an old woman return to her family in time for Chinese New Year as a result of unplanned contact with her.

Syed Azmi wrote on Facebook that he had encountered the 65-year-old woman at the Kajang MRT station. "When we arrived at the station, the auntie was screaming for assistance at the MRT desk, asking whether she could buy a KTM ticket because the KTM counter was closed. She had a hearing aid on.”

The employee at the desk stated that he is unable to assist because he is unfamiliar with the KTM. So I attempted to assist her in purchasing a ticket at the KTM machine, but neither machine was working. He claimed that she then expressed her want to cry as a result of not knowing how to return.

"In the end, my friend proposed sending her to KTM Bangi, and when pressed, she replied that her sibling would pick her up. Her sibling approved when we contacted her to request permission to send her,” the man continued.

Azmi claimed that once they got in the car, she eventually stopped feeling anxious and terrified, despite her initial panic. He claimed that she introduced herself to everyone and never stopped expressing her gratitude.

Even farther, she handed them ang pao!

"To cut a long story short, she claimed to have recently returned from Sg Choh following a dinner reunion with her retired pals. She was supposed to return to her sibling's home tonight,” he said.

For the three of us, this Chinese New Year will go down as a good memory.
